Penny Lane Farm Sanctuary is not like a petting zoo. We are a refuge for rescued farm animals, many seized in cruelty cases by SPCAs and Humane Societies. We are only open to the public during Open Houses, our special programs, and limited pre-scheduled visits. Our next Open House is tentatively set for August 16, we hope to see you there. Thank you!
Unleash Your Best! we are looking for 4 new individuals to join our Board. Email us at Info@pennylanefarmsanctuary.ca for more information

Now, it’s time to bring Pepper, his twin and the only other geep of their kind, to live safely alongside him. Pepper could face the same challenges as Sarge, and the two need to be together in a space designed just for them.
Both of them are the rarest of animals, as twin sheep/goat hybrids, they beat the million to one odds of their even being born, so let's give them every chance to live long, healthy lives!
We’re building a safe, enclosed area from a small barn to a secure outdoor platform—and we need your help to raise $1,000 for the materials.
Join our 50/25/25 draw!
$10 per ticket
3 tickets for $25
50% of the pot goes toward building materials
25% goes to one lucky winner
25% to a second winner!
Your ticket supports the only known geep twins in the world and helps ensure their safety and comfort—while giving you a chance to win.
Draw date: August 16, at our open house.
Tickets available through our website www.PennyLaneFarmSanctuary.ca (by e-transfer, PayPal, or credit card). Send an email to PennyLaneSanctuary@gmail confirming your contact details and number of tickets purchased.
Let’s bring the twins back together, safely.

Our Story
"From city life to the heart of the sanctuary, our journey is one of transformation. We weren't born farmers, but when we opened our eyes to the world around us, we felt a deep calling to help the animals in need. They became a part of us, us a part of them - and together, we embarked on an extraordinary path of compassion & care."
In a tranquil corner of the countryside, Penny Lane Farm Sanctuary first took root as a result of a 2011 horse rescue. Karyn, Nancy, and Larry merged their efforts to officially establish the sanctuary in 2013 with a clear mission in mind: to provide a permanent, loving home for 14 rescued horses while championing the cause of animal welfare.
Our journey became intertwined with the Montreal SPCA, initially welcoming more horses from Montreal in response to a carriage industry ban. Though circumstances changed when the ban was lifted, we continued our collaboration with the SPCA, starting with the arrival of two goats, George and Ringo. In a remarkably short span of time, our sanctuary transformed into a haven for a diverse array of previously at-risk animals who are now free to just be, thanks to the unwavering dedication of our incredible team of volunteers and supporters.
Today, Penny Lane Farm Sanctuary's reach extends far and wide, fostering strong connections with both the Montreal SPCA and the Ottawa Humane Society. We remain steadfast in our commitment to offering refuge to at-risk animals, while focusing on education, advocacy & outreach for farmed animals everywhere. Our sanctuary's story has evolved into an inspiring narrative of compassion, touching the hearts of countless individuals to protect and cherish all living creatures.

Championing for a world where every animal - human or non-human - is free to just be.
Penny Lane Farm Sanctuary provides lifelong refuge to animals who have experienced abuse, neglect, or abandonment, offering them compassionate care and the freedom to live safely and peacefully. The sanctuary also serves as a place of connection and restoration for people--especially those experiencing stress, grief, or isolation-who find comfort and purpose in the presence of resilient animals. We promote empathy and well-being through humane education, volunteer opportunities, and community programs that foster meaningful human-animal relationships for the benefit of both.
